Weymouth has a fabulous Café Quarter on the south side of the Harbour, many visitors tend to concentrate on the miles of safe sandy beach to the north of the harbour but they’d do them selves a favour by crossing the harbour by the small rowing boats by the Pavilion or by the lifting Town Bridge. Follow the harbour out towards the sea from there keeping the water on your left hand side you’ll see a pub called the old Rooms on the right which, together with the Ivy House Café marks the entrance to the Café Quarter.
The pictures below will take you to a short description of each venue, please enjoy, I know I do!
If you take the road between the Old Rooms and the Ivy House, you’ll see a short walk will take you right into the heart of Hope Square, the life and soul of the Café Quarter.
All year there’s plenty of places to eat and drink there, and as soon as the sun comes out it’s the best place in Weymouth to spend your afternoon, most Sundays throughout the summer there’s also live bands playing in the middle which can be enjoyed from any of the bars and restaurants.
