Vacation is an exhibition of Dorset-inspired contemporary art at Weymouth’s Colwell Shopping Centre. It is curated by Christopher Lee, a graduate of Weymouth College and the Arts University College, Bournemouth. The project aims to direct focus on Weymouth’s local businesses, as well as allowing exciting local artists an opportunity to exhibit their work whilst the spotlight is well and truly on the area and its thriving culture of the arts.
Inside two first floor units of the Colwell Shopping Centre, as well as available cabinet space within several nearby local businesses, you will find fresh, exciting and interesting artwork in a variety of media. Among the works will be site-specific installation, screen prints, illustration, sound installation and an interactive story and guide around the town. Local artists involved in the project are:
