Weymouth Ladies began the game hard and fast, with extreme positive attacking play. After continual pressure, Weymouth converted one of their many short corners into a goal from Michelle Snook. Weymouth maintained pressure, however Swanage broke – scoring the equaliser against the run of play. Not deterred, Weymouth battled back and after being awarded another short corner Snook took the rebound from her first shot, dribbled around the ‘keeper to slam the ball home, to give a half time score of 2-1.
The second half started with a more even game with both Weymouth and Swanage fighting for control in the midfield. Megan Taylor fought hard on the wing, providing many attacks and Swanage play was broke down. Eventually the ball found its way to Snook on the Swanage backline, Snook powered the ball across the goal mouth and midfielder Rebecca Mann connected, slotting the ball into the bottom right corner, giving Weymouth a well-deserved win of 3-1.
