Mud, Mud, glorious Mud House!

Despite a promising start, the summer has proved to be a wash out so far.  Despite this, the aptly named New Zealand winery, Mud House, is celebrating the festival season and will be donning its wellies (just in case!) at the Dorset Seafood Festival, which takes place on 9th and 10th July at Weymouth Harbour.  Mud House wines will be showing off its new packaging and giving visitors to the festival the chance to sample its newest vintages of Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Merlot and Estate Pinot Noir, as well as purchase the wines by the glass* or by the bottle** on stand 14 on Custom House Quay.

Mud House wines was originally founded by an English couple, the Joslins, who retired in 2007 and sold The Mud House Wine Company to four New Zealand families.  The winery is named after a mud block house built in the founding vineyard.  Grapes destined for Mud House wines are sourced from three regions in New Zealand’s South Island: Marlborough, Waipara and Central Otago.
