Sealife at night

Sea Life ‘After Hours’ Event To Boost Conservation Coffers Weymouth Sea Life Park is to host an ‘after hours’ fundraiser for wildlife charities on Thursday, June 27th.

Visitors from 6pm that day will be charged a nominal £3 to explore all the Park’s marine displays and enjoy a rare behind-the-scenes tour of its Displays Development unit…the collection, breeding and research HQ for the global Sea Life network.

The animal care team has also lined up a host of extra attractions, from country fete stalls and tombola to an ‘Ask The Aquarist’ quiz challenge. “We will also be inviting guests that night to have a go at guessing the weight of Sequoia the penguin chick, and how many clownfish there are in our amazing clownfish shoal tank,” said Curator Fiona Smith.

“Proceeds will be shared between the Shark Trust, The International Otter Survival Fund, The Seahorse Trust, Dorset Wildlife Trust and the RSPB, all charities we support on a regular basis.” There’s more information on the evening available on www.sealifeweymouth.com
