If you’ve ever walked along the eastern side of Nothe gardens and looked up at the houses near the Fish Laboratory and thought “I would love to sit and relax in one of those gardens with this wonderful view!” then your wish has been granted.
Jenny Legg has openned a new cafe right by the steps going from the Eastern Nothe Gardens path over to Hope Square, called The Den, it’s a wonderful position in a suntrap of a garden where you can buy yourselves teas, coffee and very much home-made cakes to your delight.
I was lucky enough to find “The Den” on only it’s second or third day of openning and was treated to an excellent cup of coffee at a very reasonable £1! not many places in Weymouth does coffee come at that price. Even on an overcast day the garden was well sheltered and pleasant to sit in, I can’t wait to do the same on a warm summers morning.
Jen says she’ll be open from 10am at weekends and school holidays weather permitting so go and say hello, you wont be disappointed.
