WEYMOUTH Boxing Club’s Toby Osmond kept up his impressive form this year with a defeat of Michael McDonagh at Lydney Rugby Club’s open air boxing show.
The 15-year-old was handed the majority decision to increase his 2010 record to six wins from seven bouts and overall success rate to 14 from 19.
Osmond spent the three rounds pushing back his opponent and keeping him on the back foot with a series of shots to the head and body.
Although McDonagh tried to keep the Weymouth teenager off balance with some straight jabs and left hooks, it was he who was worn down and Osmond therefore ran out a worthy winner.
