Throughout the course of the year the tides coming in and out take their toll on the sand in Weymouth Bay and gradually Weymouth’s miles of golden sand gradually slips back into the sea.
To counter this, each spring, when the tides are at their lowest, the Council spend a good deal of time and money ensuring that our greatest asset is preserved for the enjoyment of the many thousands of holiday makers who come to visit our fabulous beach each year.
This year they wont be disappointedas you can see from the photographs, there have been many hours spent getting the beach in tip-top condition for the coming season.
