This morning saw the officla ground breaking ceremony at the site of the Sealife Tower Weymouth with the Mayor present, Merlin Entertainment Management, the Ladies Olympic Match Race Team GBR and members of the local business community there to witness this special event.
The Tower will be finished by the summer of this year enabling Summer Olympic visitors to get a birds eye view of the racing. The tower will have a pod on it that gives the viewer a 360 degree look at Weymouth and the surrounding countryside, coast and waters. Each trip up and down the tower will hold around 70 people and should be priced below £10 per person.
