This is the sort of email we like to get here at Weymouth.co.uk, this lasy, Ruth Penaluna is about to do a Jurassic Swim, please read what she’s written to us:

Hi,

I am doing a 10 mile open water sea swim along the Jurassic Coast in less than two weeks now.  I’ll be starting in Weymouth Harbour and will be swimming to Lulworth Cove.

I’m swimming in aid of the Marine Conservation Society, and wondered if you would like to do a story on my swim on your website.

You should get a lot of info from my website, but if you think you’d like to do a little story, I’d be more than happy to answer any questions.

Of course, if anyone wants to sponsor me they can, the more money I can raise for the charity the better.

I am coming to Weymouth on 28th August, and the swim will take place on the day with the most suitable conditions from 30th August to 4th September.

Many thanks,

Ruth. visit her website here

    Hi,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I completed my swim. After 4 hours it was pretty tough, mentally, more so, but physically towards the end. An absolutely gorgeous week down in Weymouth, but very windy on the day of my swim, so unfortunately I could not swim to Lulworth Cove, and had to make my way around Partland Harbour in stead, which is a lot bigger when your trying to swim around I can tell you. What an absolute pleasure to spend the week exploring the Jurassic Coast, though. Stunning. To top the week off we saw dolphins off the coast at Dulston Head, which was very cool.
For more information please visit my website, http://www.jurassicswim.info Thanks,
    Ruth.
